MeeK : "When I released the single 'So Fresh', the B-side was a song called 'Back To The Monolith'. There was a groove in this track that I loved a lot but the song itself just didn't work, I thought ... And many people were telling me they loved the song and it tickled me that this piece had such potential and hadn't been developed properly... So I reworked it, expanded it and largely re-recorded it to turn it into a brand new single. This is my only song of which both the draft and the final version were officially released. One year apart from each other. This is a sharp and bitter song about broken friendships... We never talk about this but sentimental break-ups are not the only break-ups we go through, break-ups in friendships are equally painful to me ..."

MeeK : "We all need one substance or another to get through life, to survive, be it coffee, Valium or pot. This is the gist of this, through the monologue of an imaginary character who does not know where he's going to and slowly drifts away along his various excesses, as I personally did in my own life for a long time. And I was struck one day by a scene from a movie in which a posh upper-class woman was offering 'Vicodins' around - a painkiller some use as a recreational drug - as if they were cigarettes or sweets ..."
